SkyWatch Friday; reaching out and up;

It is Jacaranda time, pretty mauve bells and a silky blue sky, a match made by nature;

A sky as soft as down;

New South Wales Christmas tree is flowering and the grapevine is reaching for the sky;

  4. Oh, so cool!!!! I love Jacaranda Time! What a sight they are with that strange hue of purple smothering naked branches! Even the ungardeners in my family admire these trees during Jacaranda Time. Of course, we have to wait another six months or so yet. Ugh. At least I can enjoy your pics today. : )

  13. I haven't seen a Jacaranda since moving away from my beloved Australia. They're such a beautiful tree.
    I also loved seeing your glorious Daylilies and the wonderful Tibouchina. What a fantastic garden you have dear Trudi.

  14. Tibouchina and Clivia miniata were part of my collection. I certainly agree with your opinion of the first, I remember the first time I saw it in Puerto Rico.

    I was then unknown as a critic, friendly and kind in those days.

    Is always pleasant to drop by.
    The above mentioned passed away for unknown reasons. Both really collector items.
